LWS Working Remotely During COVID-19

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO) have provided extensive information on ways in which we can all try to stop the spread of this virus and try to keep ourselves, and each other, healthy. The primary steps we can all take include:

  • Social Distancing – keeping at least 6 feet away from another person.

  • Wash hands with soap and water – frequently.

  • Stay at home and avoid interaction with others unless absolutely essential.

Additionally, there has been recent research on the viability of COVID-19 in the air and on various surfaces.  A study published March 17, 2020, in the New England Journal of Medicine evaluated how long the novel coronavirus stays on surfaces and in the air.  The virus, known officially as SARS-CoV-2, stays on surfaces for various periods of time, depending on the nature of the surface:

  • Hard surfaces like plastic, steel, countertops, and glass: 72 hours

  • Porous surfaces like cardboard, paper, and fabrics: 24 hours

  • Airborne in droplets released by coughing or sneezing: 3 hours

LWS remains committed to caring for its Team and its Clients.  Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
